Writers will be judged on their grasp of composition, characterization, and flow. KNY content is not required, but strongly encouraged so that we can see and understand how you characterize KNY characters. NO NSFW IS ALLOWED. This is a strictly SFW project.SAMPLE REQUIREMENTS
• 3 works you feel best represent your writing style as a whole
• Pieces must be minimum 500 words, maximum 1k words; leeway of 100 words both ways
• Total combined maximum of 3.6k words
• May be complete pieces or excerpts; however, having complete pieces within the given word count will help us judge your ability to tell a story within the length constraints of the zine!
• Pieces should be no older than 2 years.PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS
• No fewer than 2 pieces that are different from your 3 samples
• Additional pieces in portfolio must be at least 250 words each
• Can be uploaded in the form of a website, a Google Drive folder (Make sure the permissions are set so that we can view it), a dedicated social media account, an AO3 account, or a Tumblr tag that compiles all your works together
• Pieces should be no older than 2 years.WRITER EXPECTATIONS
• Writers will be required to work within a word count of 1.2k words, with a leeway of 100 words. This is due to the artbook type nature of this project.
Artists will be judged on their grasp of anatomy, composition, and color. NO NSFW IS ALLOWED. This is a strictly SFW project.SAMPLE REQUIREMENTS
• 3 works you feel best represent your work as a whole
• At least one piece should include a fully finished background
• All pieces must be finished - please do not submit any sketches or other unfinished works.
• Pieces should be no older than 2 years.PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS

• Can be uploaded in the form of a website, a Google Drive folder (Make sure the permissions are set so that we can view it), a social media account like Instagram, or a Tumblr tag that compiles all your works together

• All artists will be expected to create one landscape illustration -- in other words, a spread illustration. Having landscape illustrations in your portfolio is a big bonus, but not required.

We currently do not have any plans to open up mod applications for this project.How old do I have to be to participate?
There is no technical age restriction on this zine, but in order to have a Twitter or Discord account, you must be 13+, and we will not be using any other platform for organizing and communications. Therefore, it's probably best that those under 13 do not apply.How will contributors be compensated?
Of age contributors will be compensated through Paypal. Minors will not be able to recieve any monetary compensation, but we aim to send free copies of the book to all of our contributors.My question wasn't answered.
